Bethel 20 Shadow Night November 19th

The Worshipful Master extended an invitation to all Masons to support our Job’s daughters by attending their ‘Shadow Night’ on Monday, November 19th at 6:30 PM.  This is always a very fun event, where each Mason ‘shadows’ a Bethel officer during their entire meeting.  This is a great way to support our girls, and we’d like to see as many Masons as possible attend.  Please contact the WM or Secretary if you can attend.

 Thanksgiving With The Sunshine Pantry

The Sunshine Pantry is a local non-profit group offering food, clothing, household items, and toiletries to families in need in Beaverton.  The WM is calling all Masons to support this group, especially around the holidays.  He spoke with Sharon Straus and she conveyed the need for Turkeys, Hams, Children’s Gifts, and Volunteer hours.  We are trying to organize a group from the lodge to help them on Saturday, November 17th to set up Thanksgiving boxes to be picked up by families in need.  This is a great local organization we feel strongly about supporting and hope you all can join in!  Contact the WM or Secretary to volunteer.  For more information on The Sunshine Pantry, visit their website at http://www.sunshinepantry.org/

Brethren and friends, it is with a heavy heart we report that our Brother Frank Tillia has passed to that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  MWB Art Bush, PGM shared his thoughts as he reported this to us:  “Brother Frank passed away at home Saturday evening at 6:00 PM.  With him were his wife June and Connie, one of his two daughters.  At this point in time I do not know about any funeral services.
Brother Frank was a 60 year Mason, a true Brother who never spoke an unkind word and he especially enjoyed the visit from his Lodge Brothers when they came to see him in the hospital.
So Mote It Be”,
MWB Art Bush, PGM

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brother Frank’s family in their time of loss.
